Tsoiotsi Tsogalii 70 S2 – 1996 NOAC

In 1996 Tsoiotsi Tsogalii Lodge 70 sent a delegation of 29 Brothers to the National OA Conference held at Indiana University.  For this event the lodge issued its second flap, identified as the S2.  The patch featured the lodge totem red-tailed hawk with his wings spread.  The patch was popular although some traders mistakenly thought the bird was an owl.

The lodge enjoyed the NOAC and was pleased with its Pre-Ordeal Ceremony Team receiving an Honorable Mention in competition and the lodge basketball team making it to the Sweet Sixteen.  At Founders’ Day the lodge set up its booth with a couple of basketball goals and winners that made so many shots were entered into a drawing for a Dutch oven, a basketball, or some other “neat stuff”.  The delegation enjoyed fine shows, great training, and a whole lot of fellowship.

Today, this flap is one of the last needs for many collectors.  Only a few hundred were made and most of the patches were traded at NOAC and spread across the country.
