Pee Dee Area Council Scout Memorabilia Show – January 3, 2015
Santee Lodge 116 is putting on a Scout Memorabilia Show in conjunction with their Winter Banquet. This will be the first Trade-O-Ree of 2015 and just about every kid in America will be on vacation leading up to this Saturday only event. Dealer set up begins at 8 AM and the doors open to the public at 9 PM. The show runs until 4 PM. After the show closes the room will be converted to the dining room set up for the Lodge Winter Banquet.
This is the first time in more than twenty years that the PDAC has hosted a Scout memorabilia show. The previous one was held in Myrtle Beach if I remember correctly back in the 1990s. I hope Scouters from around the region will consider coming to this one day show. We expect to have up to thirty tables rented when its all said and done at $10 each that could happen easily.
The location for the show is St. Pauls United Methodist Church located at 1629 W Palmetto St. Florence, SC. There are ample places to eat and hotels nearby as the location sits at the junction of two major Interstates. Myrtle Beach is only an hour away and that time of year is great for shopping at the outlets if you want to make it a family trip.
There will be displays set up of Scouting memorabilia from the Dixie Fellowship including one of the most complete Camp Coker, Pee Dee Area Council and Santee Lodge collections.
The lodge store will be open and since Santee was the host lodge they ended up with a lot of leftover 2014 Dixie Fellowship memorabilia.
