Early NC Collectors Publication – Section 3A Traders

Section "3-A Traders" was an early attempt to catalog North Carolina OA issues for lodges in Section 3-A shortly after it was changed from Section 6-A.  I printed these on a mimeograph machine in the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity office located in the basement of Smith Building on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus.

Interesting that the section was referred to as “3A” rather than SE-3A (which was its official designation). I think it must have taken a couple of years before people realized there were six sections named 3A, one per region. The original 3A, during the period when NC was 6A, was in Pennsylvania and Maryland and included lodges 1, 5, 12, 20, 22, 33, and 43.
